On occasion, the VCR might lose tracking on the tape. If there is no actual recording on the VHS tape, there will be no frame to lock on and it will result in No Video Signal. If the VCR is powered on and you still get this message, try playing a VHS tape for 30 seconds to see if Easy VHS to DVD will detect a Video Signal and lock on to a frame. This can also occur when a connected VCR is turned off. Similarly, the red and white audio RCA composite audio cables should be connected to the red and white audio output jacks on your VCR and the red and white audio input jack on your Roxio Video Capture device. The yellow RCA composite cable for video should be connected to the yellow RCA video output jack on your VCR and the yellow RCA video input jack on your Roxio Video Capture device. If you are using RCA cables to connect your VCR to the Roxio Video Capture device, make sure the cables are connected to the correct jacks on both your VCR and your Roxio Video Capture device with the matching colors. Thank you anyone who replies. This typically occurs when your VCR is not properly hooked up to the Roxio Video Capture device. If someone could help me with this, I'll provide any information you like to help you understand this problem. All this proves that anything in the knowledge base won't fix my problem. I wondered if it's my computer, which I don't know Windows 7 well enough to figure that out yet but it seems fine.

I was wondering if it was the USB device, but it's not since it works on other computers. I have tried for days to get ahold of someone in tech support from Roxio, but each time I can't. Similar problems exist but they all have solutions that don't matter to my device. By this time I had already searched every inch of the Roxio website knowledge base, my problem exists nowhere on the internet that I have seen.

I have tried the device on other computers and they all work correctly. I have tried everything from trying new USB ports to uninstalling the drivers and programs and doing a fresh install, but even that doesn't work. Now when I do the above, I only get sound but I do not get video. It continued working for several days, then stopped. I plugged up the VCR to the device and puled up VLC and configured it correctly and it worked. I bought the video capture USB device, brought it home, installed the correct drivers, then I plugged the device in.
